Calcined Alumina
Calcined Alumina is produced from the calcination of high purity alumina. Magnochrom can produce a range of high alpha alumina grades by controlling the calcination temperatures and time.
Calcined Alumina is widely used for unshaped refractories and shaped refractories, pre-case shapes used in foundry, iron and steel making, such as skateboards. Stopper, Long nozzle, Submerged entry nozzle in Continuous Steel Casting, and castable for tapping ditches, spraying coatings, kiln furniture, ladle castable. etc. Bimodal Alumina is specially used in permeable bricks, scat bricks, corundum self-flowing castable, etc.
Calcined alumina is also used well in Structural ceramics, wear-resistant ceramics, thermal ceramics, glazes, electronic substrate, etc.
