Black Silicon Carbide (SiC)
Black Silicon Carbide (SiC) is produced from quarts sand and petroleum coke in an electric resistance type furnace. Its grains are black hexagonal crystals with fragile and sharp properties. Magnochrom SiC has extreme high hardness, high abrasion resistance, high electric and thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion, and outstanding thermal shock resistance.
Black Silicon Carbide is widely used in Refractory Bricks, monolithic refractory materials, reinforcing filler, Coating material, and production of SiCbased refractory composites by combining black SiC with other materials.
Black Silicon Carbide is also used well for Silicon Carbide Ceramic Products, such as Silicon Carbide shed plate, SIC slab decking kiln shelves, beams, batts, Burner Nozzles, Tubes and Rollers, etc. Besides, SiC could be used for precision Casting, Foundry and Metallurgical additive in iron & steel industry.
